At Kappa Psi, we believe in the transformative power of literacy. Our proud partnership with Reach Out and Read allows us to extend our impact beyond pharmacy, fostering a love for reading in children across the nation. Through this collaboration, we’ve supported medical providers in prescribing reading aloud, helping to integrate books into pediatric care and encouraging families to read together.

Our fraternity’s commitment has been demonstrated through generous donations and book drives, contributing over $50,000 and thousands of books to Reach Out and Read’s noble cause. We are dedicated to not only filling prescriptions for medications but also for literacy, nurturing the minds of the young ones who hold the future of our communities.

At the Beta Xi Chapter of Kappa Psi, we believe that giving back is a vital part of who we are as future healthcare professionals. Our chapter is deeply rooted in service and community outreach, with a focus on addressing healthcare disparities and supporting underserved populations across North Carolina. Each year, our brothers organize and participate in a range of philanthropic events—from free health screenings and medication safety workshops to food drives and mentorship programs for youth.Whether we’re raising funds for local clinics or volunteering at shelters, our goal is to make a meaningful impact while fostering empathy, leadership, and unity within our fraternity. Service isn’t just something we do—it’s a reflection of our values and our commitment to advancing the pharmacy profession through action.
